Welcome to the Just Ask Us Stories Page!
We want to provide a space for students to share the challenges and triumphs associated with managing mental health, alcohol and other drugs while in tertiary education.
Working through these issues can make the added stress of study feel overwhelming for some people, their family and friends.
People often tell us that reading other peoples stories gives them confidence to work through their concerns. It can be handy way of picking up strategies to help manage study and wellbeing.
Why would I share my story?
Sharing your story can be an opportunity to express your thoughts and feelings, while helping others by providing encouragement and hope. It can also help break down the stigma associated with mental health and drug use, and encourage other students to seek help.
The stories can be about pretty much anything relating to the broad areas of mental health, alcohol and drugs. We just want to share people’s personal accounts to get the conversation started!
What do I need to do?
All you need to do is write down your experience and we will publish as many of them as we can.
We will only publish peoples first names with their story to protect their anonymity.
To submit your story got to Contact Us and select the 'Submitting a personal story' option.
